Trenching & Shoring – Competent Person
This 8-hour course will cover construction standards for excavations; 29 CFR Part 1926.650-652. At the completion of this course each student will have an understanding of trenching and shoring, types of shoring systems, be able to determine soil classification, use instruments to determine soil strength, and recognize the dangers of water pressures and seepage. They will also be able to read and apply timber and aluminum shoring tables.
